Surprisingly no one sees the writing on the wall or is willfully ignorant.I don't know, back in the day on Halo 2 on the OG xbox, I remember lobbies where hackers would make some crazy things happen.like shooting banshees from Plasma Pistols.etc.

The problem here is this game is free to play, has crossplay with PC which we all know is the easiest platform to cheat on, and 343 has stated it only plans on banning accounts. If they do a MAC Address ban.then they are more than likely to actually get rid of the account for good.Microsoft has banned Xbox consoles fromĬonnecting to live in the past. IP addresses are easy to manipulate to get around.in most cases restarting your router gets around this. They just need to look out for people that slip through the cracks with extremely high K/D ratio's.Having 80:1 KD ratio is impossible.I dont care how good you are. They should do IP and MAC bans. Xboxes are closed source platforms and good luck if someone wants to jailbreak a Series X going for $800 on the open market.

We all know at least 80-90% of hacking on F2P games like Warzone is done by PC players because it's way easier to just download a program on there. If they tamper with the console MS can easily ban them. Cheating is not exclusive to PC, especially now.Show me an example of how someone does it on Xbox. On Xbox you simply don't see stuff like this. You absolutely see this stuff on Xbox. When you introduce an open system like PC the aimbots, wall hacks, etc are introduced into the ecosystem of the game. Hopefully 343 and Microsoft will come to their senses and protect the people that have been playing this franchise for two decades.I hope that crossplay can be toggled off, but we get cheaters in every game and I hope MS are on the ball with making it difficult for them. The thing is with console games people can exploit loopholes or bugs but those can be patched and are few and far between. Generally, the bigger population the better for the longevity of a game but the player base should suffer from hackers because of it. The only excuse for not letting us disable crossplay in any game is greed, pure and simple. This will not make up for the disadvantage someone will be facing playing on a base model Xbox one vs a computer that costs a few thousand dollars. On a similar note, the developers have only confirmed input restrictions for ranked playlists.

The only reason to include mandatory crossplay is to keep matchmaking times down for the big time streamers. I don't think enough people are pushing for this and we will be left to the wolves much like on Warzone. There needs to be an option to disable crossplay because the loyal fans of this franchise, that mostly play on console, will suffer at the hands of the cheating community on PC. IP Bans should be possible for repeat offenders but I doubt it will happen.
